Act out a new story together each week through imaginative adventures inspired by beloved books! In this creative drama class designed for young students and their caregivers, collaborative story exploration sets the foundation for exploring communication, movement, and emotional expression. Each week is inspired by a new story with opportunities to transform into characters, shape the narrative, and work together that support the development of confidence and creativity while providing an experience full of joy, wonder, and imagination.
Siblings younger than 2 are welcome to attend with their older sibling and caregiver.

Act out a new, dramatic journey each week fueled by imagination in a class that fosters social-emotional learning and confidence! Through imaginative play, multimodal sensory engagement, and music, students celebrate their creativity, practice interpersonal communication, and are introduced to collaboration. Inspired by students’ imaginations and interests, drama-based activities exploring movement, sound, and storytelling guide students to faraway places and unique characters on memorable journeys.
This is an independent pre-school class where children will participate without a caregiver. Please plan on remaining onsite while your child is in class.

Madeline (she/her) is a theatre educator, administrator, and accessibility specialist. Working with learning of all ages, she enjoys facilitating programs focused on beginning through advanced acting, audition technique, boundaries and self-care for actors, creative drama, improvisation, sensory drama, Shakespeare, and multidisciplinary approaches to core class material. Madeline moved to Asheville from Minneapolis, MN in the fall of 2021 and serves as the Asheville Program Director for Arts For Life. She is a proud member of Ring of Keys and grateful to bring her training with Intimacy Directors & Coordinators into her work. Madeline is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid by the National Council for Behavioral Health and has Autism Direct Support Certification from The Autism Society of Minnesota. In collaboration with learners and fellow educators, Madeline is passionate about asking questions and striving to increase the accessibility of and equity in theatre education and experiences.
