About Us

Playground Stage nurtures and empowers children to learn 21st century skills through hands on theatre education and professional theatrical performances.

Our vision for the future is to offer every elementary school in Buncombe County and Asheville City after-school or in-school Playground Stage Children's Theatre performing arts program funded by individual donations and grants. Through these programs, students will spend time with their peers and create community face to face. We will aim to open a dedicated space for Playground Stage where children and their families can spend time together through after-school classes, camps, family activities, and performances even when school is closed.
